(Hastings, NE) Tractor Tuesday is pleased to announce that Iowa State University defensive back Caden Matson has signed a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal to become a brand ambassador. Tractor Tuesday is an online auction platform for producers, empowering equipment owners with the tools to successfully represent and sell their own equipment. This collaboration is a great fit, bringing together an incredible student-athlete with a company dedicated to supporting athletes from agricultural backgrounds.
In high school, Caden was named First Team All-State, and he put together some impressive numbers on the field, such as being responsible for 49 touchdowns as a quarterback his senior year. He was a walk-on at Iowa State and red-shirted the 2022 season. In 2023 he was named Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year and scored a touchdown after picking up a loose ball on a punt return. He has also made the Dean’s list for his academic achievements.
Growing up in northwest Iowa, Caden spent his youth helping out with farming corn, soybeans, and some hogs. “I learned the value of hard work and that something worth doing is never easy,” said Caden. He continued, “I appreciate being able to see the time and effort that goes into growing the food we eat and milk we drink. There are so many behind the scenes things that people who didn’t grow up around it wouldn’t know about.” As a boy, he would watch Josey Jewell, an Iowa “farm kid” who played for the University of Iowa before playing in the NFL, and drew inspiration from his background and athletic achievements. Caden is majoring in Agricultural Business and plans to work in agriculture after graduating.
Caden is excited to be a brand ambassador for Tractor Tuesday, representing the company in various marketing campaigns and community outreach initiatives. He said, “It’s an absolute honor. I know how hard I’ve had to work for this opportunity and to be able to represent something that stands for what I stand for is very rewarding.”
“Caden joining our team is a big win,” said Zach Bosle, CEO of Tractor Tuesday. “I’m confident he’s going to achieve big things on the field for the Cyclones and then use his education to do big things in agriculture.”
This NIL deal underscores Tractor Tuesdayโs commitment to creating opportunities for college athletes from farm and ranch backgrounds, helping them succeed in their athletic careers while staying connected to their roots.
